Large Group Training Descriptions

Adult Fitness and Strength

This training session focuses on fundamental human movements, and increasing strength.   Easily scaled to your ability level, this class will teach you about increasing strength through basic movements to make everyday tasks easier.  

This is great for anyone who is new to our group classes, as well as those people who really want to put some extra emphasis on proper form, until you are confident to start "loading-up" the movements.  All members would ideally make time for Fitness and Strength class as part of their regular training, to keep their movement patterns at the highest possible level.

These training session can be even more focused if you bring a heart rate monitor, because the workouts can be individualized based on your heart rate during activity and recovery.

TRX Bootcamp

Taught by Louisville's only TRX Master Instructor

TRX bootcamp uses primarily TRX equipment: The Suspension Trainer and The Rip Trainer (you may use other stuff too, like Kettlebells & Sandbells). You will use your own bodyweight for resistance a lot of the time and you will work at your own level. Since the programs and the TRX products are completely scalable, ANY person, at ANY level, with ANY goal can participate. From the couch potato to the competitive athlete, you'll get worked! We focus on strength, balance and coordination, high intensity interval training, partner/group games, flexibility, and FUN.

Group Cycle

Want to work on your Aerobic Conditioning?  This training session uses a stationary bike, and is the perfect low-impact way to push your cardiovascular system.  Space is limited to 7 people and an instructor, unless you want to bring your own bike and trainer, so sign up to reserve your spot today.

Metabolic Conditioning

This high energy training session is designed specifically to provide a cardio and resistance workout without jumping on the treadmill. It will use a combination of bodyweight movements, kettlebells, TRX suspension trainers, and a bunch of other stuff to have fun and boost your metabolism.

Foundations of Movement

Sticking to fundamental movements during a workout, really focusing on proper form and mastering the exercises can be one of the most effective workouts you’ll do. These sessions provide total body workout and are great for anyone who is new to fitness or new to our group sessions. They are also excellent for clients who have been members for years to challenge themselves to really focus on their form. Ideally everyone takes a Foundations session as part of his or her regular schedule, and build the foundation to get the most out of your membership.
